The LMA or Large Model Association Airshow takes place at Elvington over a long weekend each summer. This event is covered by notam due to the size and speed of the radio controlled model aircraft featured with a flight ceiling of 1600ft. This year the display featured a 20ft Vulcan a 20ft Victor Tanker and a 20ft VC10. Thousands of spectators turned up to see the action.
