Flooding on The River Aire - 27th February 2020
by Alastair Mackenzie
The thermal soaring season kicks off in style today with 6 to 8kt thermals going as high as 4200ft cloud base. Pity the wind was so strong (25 to 28kt) making going into wind difficult. Some spectacular views of the flooding on the River Aire just to the south of Burn airfield. One can't help feeling sorry for those whose homes have been wrecked by the flood waters.
