Ideally located near scenic California Lake Tahoe and Reno Nevada, you can experience glider soaring high above the breathtaking scenery of California, Nevada, the Sierra Nevada Mountain range and the pristine waters of Lake Tahoe. There are only aero-tow facilities.

13/11/16 at 12.19 GMT Cessna 152 G-CIUH heading east overhead Burn GC at approx 1800ft. Simulated picture of how this plane might look it it had hit a winch cable.

Well here we are 'up on top' of the wave at 6000ft after climbing through a wave gap from 4130ft climbing at 4kt close to Riccall. At this point I am heading north along the edge of the wave and the whole sky above Burn is now covered with 8/8ths cloud cover to the south. Option 1 - descend back through the wave gap below and the possibility of not making it back to Burn or Option 2 - head north where the wave structure is more open at present.
